Ruben Chavez is an artist based in Tucson, Arizona. He paints in acrylics and watercolor, using an expressive, impressionistic style to capture both the beautiful nature and rich culture of the desert southwest.

Much of Ruben’s acrylic work is painted on reclaimed or recycled materials, giving new life to surfaces that already hold their own history. 

For Ruben, art is about connection—connecting with a place, a moment, a feeling—and, of course, with those who see his work. He aims to create art that sparks joy and adds a bit of beauty to the world.
